Kakka irachi Thoran
Kerala style clams stir-fry with coconut.
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves: 2 to 3 people
Ingredients:
- Kakka irachi /clams (cleaned)- 1 cup
- Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves-1 sprig
- Fennel ,powdered-1/4 to 1/2 tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Water-as required
- Oil-as required
For coconut paste:
- Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
- Ginger,chopped- 1/2 tsp
- Garlic,chopped-1/4 tsp
- Green chilies-1 or 2 nos( according to taste)
- Shallots-2 to 3 nos
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Kashmiri chili powder-1/4 tsp
- Black pepper powder-1/4 tsp
- Salt-to taste
